Recovery
Hot room, cold water.
The sauna
Cedar, two levels of bench, and it holds six. Sessions run 45 minutes and you come and go inside that.
The plunge
A tub kept cold, next to the sauna in the same room. Most people go back and forth between the two.
How a session runs
- 1
Book the time. Six people is the whole room, so these go early.
- 2
Change and shower before you get in. There are towels at the desk.
- 3
Use the 45 minutes how you want. 14 of the 15 sessions a week have nobody leading them.
- 4
The guided session on Friday afternoon is led start to finish, and it is the one to take first.
What it costs
$30 a session.
A five-visit block is a hundred and fifty, which works out at the same thirty a session and saves you buying them one at a time. An All Inclusive membership covers every session with no extra charge and no cap. Members take most of them.

Before you book
- Shower before you get in the water. It keeps the plunge clean for the next person.
- Bring a swimsuit. The room is shared.
- Come out if you feel lightheaded. Nobody is counting minutes.
- If you have a heart condition or you are pregnant, ask a doctor first. The clinic downstairs will talk it through with you.
