Soma

First class

It is free, and it is any class.

One free class for anybody who has not been to Soma before. No card is charged and nothing starts afterward.

  1. 01

    Pick a class

Open the schedule and find a time that works. Every one of the 57 classes a week takes people who have never done it, and the ones called Basics or Foundations are built for exactly that.

  2. 02

    Claim it free

The free class is a single item in the booking system. Tap the button on this page and it goes straight to that item, so there is no menu to work through.

  3. 03

    Make an account

Booking asks for a name, an email, and a card on file. The card is how the system holds a spot and it is not charged for this class.

  4. FIRST-01 · 236:100 Wide shot of the front desk and entry hall from just inside the door, coat hooks on the right, doorway through to the studio on the left, nobody waiting.
  5. 04

    Come ten minutes early

We are at 107 East Preston Street. Give yourself ten minutes so somebody can show you the changing rooms and where the class meets.

  6. 05

    Take the class

Tell the teacher it is your first one. They will keep an eye on you and give you an easier version of anything that is not working.

What to wear

Something you can move in. For yoga and pilates you will be barefoot. For dance bring a sneaker with a smooth sole. For jiu jitsu wear something without zippers or buttons.

What we have

Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, gloves, and wraps. Changing rooms and showers. Bring a towel and something to drink.
